FuturePrint Launches AI Conference

FuturePrint has announced the launch of the AI for Industrial Print Conference, a brand-new content stream taking place on 22 January 2026 as part of the FuturePrint Industrial Print event at Motorworld, Munich (21–22 January).

The conference will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming industrial inkjet printing and advanced manufacturing. With an emphasis on intelligent automation, delegates will hear first-hand how AI is being applied to drive measurable productivity gains across workflows, colour management, predictive maintenance, and production efficiency.

Practical, Real-World Case Studies

Unlike broad discussions about AI, this focused conference will showcase practical examples and case studies from OEMs, integrators, and manufacturers who are already applying AI in production environments. Attendees will discover how AI is enabling faster turnaround times, reduced waste, improved quality control, and enhanced sustainability across a variety of industrial applications—from packaging and décor to automotive, medtech, consumer electronics, and printed electronics.

“AI is no longer a future concept—it is already embedded in manufacturing processes and increasingly in the way digital and industrial print technologies are being deployed,” said Marcus Timson, Co-Founder of FuturePrint. “On a strategic level, this conference is about helping the industry cut through the hype and focus on what really matters: how AI can create tangible improvements in productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness. The integration of digital industrial printing with intelligent automation is unlocking opportunities across multiple manufacturing segments, and we want to put those success stories centre stage.”

Strategic Insight Meets Practical Application

The AI for Industrial Print Conference will feature a diverse programme of speakers, including technologists, analysts, print providers, and end-users who are embracing AI as part of their innovation journey. Sessions will combine strategic insights with practical applications, ensuring attendees gain both the vision and the tools needed to navigate this fast-evolving landscape.

Topics will include

·       Intelligent automation for industrial inkjet printing

·       AI-driven predictive maintenance and quality assurance

·       Enhancing workflow efficiency and reducing downtime

·       Applications of AI in packaging, labels, décor, automotive, and electronics

·       How AI is enabling agility, flexibility and efficiency for printing in manufacturing

A Key Theme of FuturePrint Industrial Print

The new conference is part of the wider FuturePrint Industrial Print event, which will bring together over 40 pioneering exhibitors and more than 35 speakers from across the industrial printing ecosystem. The event has been designed as a unique hybrid of conference and technology showcase, with the goal of highlighting the role of inkjet and digital printing technologies in the future of manufacturing.

By introducing a dedicated focus on AI, FuturePrint aims to provide its community with insights into how digital print technologies can be successfully integrated into intelligent, automated production lines—supporting the shift towards smarter, more agile, and more sustainable manufacturing models.

Who Will Attend?

The AI for Industrial Print Conference will attract a senior and technically-focused audience from across the industrial and digital printing ecosystem. Attendees will include Chief Technology Officers, R&D Directors, Production Directors, Operations Leaders, and senior decision-makers responsible for shaping technology strategy. In addition, the event will draw software engineers, integration specialists, and colour management experts who are at the forefront of implementing AI and automation within production environments. This diverse audience will ensure that discussions reflect both high-level strategic perspectives and hands-on technical insights, creating a unique environment for learning, networking, and collaboration.
